Great Lakes Weekend

Aug 3 - 5, 2007

We're heading east into Ontario and New York to add 3 entries to our Great Lakes program books and some other books, too!

Transportation and Lodging will be $200 per person, double occupancy ($325 single), if 50 seats are filled.  

AS OF JUNE 1: Only 15 seats have been taken, so we are adjusting transportation to a Ford Super Club Wagon and minivan(s) as necessary.  There may be additional costs due to gas prices and loss of hotel discount.

NO FURTHER REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER JUNE 21.

Walk fees for AVA credit will be $3 per walk, $2 for the Canadian walk and trip patch will be $4.50.

If you plan to stay overnight on Thursday, Aug 2nd, we'll be having a group walk of our Haslett route at 6 pm, to which you are invited to join in.  We we be leaving from the Holiday Inn in Okemos at 6 AM on Friday morning.  You'll need to make your own reservations there if you want to stay on Thursday night.

We'll head through customs at Port Huron into Ontario to the CVF walk at Port Dalhousie.  Then we'll finish at our hotel for the weekend, the Holiday Inn Downtown in Buffalo, NY.

On Saturday we'll leave at 9 am to go up to Niagara Falls and have the whole day there to do the walk and do whatever touristy stuff you want.  We'll head back to Buffalo at 8 pm.

On Sunday we'll have the morning to do the downtown Buffalo walk, which starts at our hotel.  We'll head back to Okemos at noon.
