COMING UP NEXT: It's a big walking weekend coming up! Our event in Sterling State Park is on Saturday. Even though its a state park walk, the walking is very easy on paved paths. We hope to see you down there! Then on Sunday is the event in Adrian and on Monday there is the Mackinac Bridge walk, or if you staying down below, there's an event in Middleville on Monday as well. We set our walking schedule for the next 6 months, along with some events even further out . . . Fri, Sep 14 is the start of Mason Down Home Days and our town group walk. Come on down and join us, especially if you didn't get down to last Saturday's group walk. Sat, Sep 22 is when we'll group walk our Northville YRE. We'll be making a stop at the cider mill! Sat, Sep 29, there's a state park event at Indiana Dunes SP. We'll arrange a carpool to head over there. Sat, Oct 6 is Maumee Valley's event in Delta, OH. Sun, Oct 7 is Washtenaw Wanderers' event at Independence Lake. Sat, Oct 13 is Historic Pathwalkers' event in Ionia. Sat, Oct 20 is our event in Owosso. Sat, Oct 27 is Maumee Valley's event in Side-Cut Metropark, Maumee, OH. Sat, Nov 3, we'll group walk in Haslett. Sat, Nov 17, we'll group walk Plymouth. Sat, Dec 1 is Washtenaw Wanderers' event in Saline. Fri thru Sun, Nov 30 thru Dec 2, is when the National Executive Council will be meeting near Middletown, OH. There is an event in Dayton on Saturday and in Waynesville on Sunday. Plans for a Saturday night social are in the works. Sat, Jan 19, we'll start our 2008 group walk with Plymouth in order to experience the Ice Sculpture Festival Sat, Feb 9, we'll group walk our new Owosso YRE and have our biannual meeting. In April, we'll have a van / bus trip to central Illinois for the Mid-America regional conference. Sat, May 3, we'll do an event at Crosswinds Marsh. Memorial Day weekend we'll do our 2008 trip to the Mammoth Cave region in Kentucky. Sat, Oct 11, we'll do an event in Ada. And somewhere in there, we'll squeeze in a test walk of Crosswinds with Tony and we'll test walk a new route in Hamburg Township. That's it for now. See you in Sterling State Park on Saturday!
