COMING UP NEXT:

Next Saturday, our friends in Indiana are putting on their annual Pickle Fest walk.  I'll be leaving Mason at 7:30 am.  If you would like to join me and carpool, let me know where along the I-69 you want me to pick you up.

Our next group walk will be in Mason on Aug 25.  Our August biannual meeting will be afterward at Pizza Hut.

Our event in Sterling State Park (near Monroe) is coming quickly, on Sept 1.  We will need volunteers for trail marking, checkpoints, and trail sweeping.  Contact me if you are willing to help.

I had a meeting with the director of the Chamber of Commerce here in Mason.  He wants to work with us in promoting Mason.  So, we get to run the Fun Walk for the Downhome Days as a Volksmarch event - exept we'll use the YRE route and stamp.  That will be Friday, September 14.  I will need a few volunteers to help out that evening, so if you'll be available, please let me know.

RECENT WALKS:

We had a turn-out of 8 folks to our Grand Ledge group walk, including friends from Historic Pathwalkers.  We had very pleasant weather for the walk.

I have been walking with new walkers, George Sr and Donna Rust.  We did Jackson and East Lansing.  Look for them on our future group walks and welcome them.

Our Niagara Trip was AWESOME!  Check out the pics
