COMING UP NEXT: Saturday is Historic Pathwalkers' group walk of their new route in Grand Rapids then their meeting. If anyone wants to carpool, please let me know. Sunday is our group walk in Ann Arbor. We will meet at Pierpont Commons on the lower level at 2pm next Sunday for a 12K walk through U of M campus, downtown Ann Arbor, and the arboretum. If you want to do the 7K route instead, let me know, since that will start at a different spot. If you want to skip the arboretum, you can do 10K or 5K. The Niagara Trip has been downsized (no motorcoach anymore), due to low numbers of registrations. Please consult the updated info on the trip page if you have been thinking of going.
Pontiac Lake State Recreation
Area. I posted pictures and some comments at On Memorial Day, the great weather brought us a great turn-out of 17! Some did the 5K, while most of us did the 10K.

Karen K & Martha have recently become GLA members - WELCOME! On Saturday, we held our group walks of the 5 and 10K routes in Holly State Rec Area as part of their celebration of National Trail Days. Several folks did both routes, making it 15K for the day. We had members of Hiking Michigan, BS Hikers and Michigan Mushroom Hunters join us. A couple of folks got their New Walker Packets, so we'll be seeing them again sometime!

On the 10K, pictured are Steve, Mickey, Antoine, Karen W, Nancy, Karen K, & Bill. MEMBER NEWS: Chelane, Eunice and Nancy have finished 10 events in Michigan, earning them their 2007 patch for Ambling Michigan. I hope to see you either in GR and / or AA. Great Lakes Weekend Trip to Niagara Aug 3 - 5 , 2007 No changes this year for land travel between the US and Canada, so you don't have to have a passport for our Niagara trip! The trip page is up. There are pics from the trip to the UP. |
