We had beautiful weather for walking in Lakelands Trail State Park!  We had some new folks join us, so we let the 10K group set off ahead and the 5K group began later, so that we would all be ready for lunch at about the same time.

Pictured are the 5K group at the turn-around area:  Nancy, Giselle, Kim, Tom, Noelle, and Teresa.  Kim told us that she and Tom used to volksmarch in Germany.

May is going to be busy!  After the two events put on by MOVES and the Washtenaw Wanderers this weekend, then our next group walk is in East Lansing on Saturday, the 12th.

Eunice is putting together a list of folks that want to do a day trip to walk in Chicago.  The plan is for interested folks to buy their own train tickets on the Amtrak Wolverine route which goes between Pontiac and Chicago daily.  The plan at the moment is to go on Wednesday, the 16th.  Contact Eunice at eunice@wccnet.edu to confirm if you want to join us. 

Our event on the 26th will be in Pontiac Lake State Rec Area.  Contact Nancy, at michbratts@yahoo.com  to let her know if you'd like to contribute some goodies to our donations table.  Take note that the event will be up and down over some hills . . .

Bus Trip to Niagara

No changes this year for land travel between the US and Canada, so you don't have to have a passport for our Niagara trip!
