The Port Huron event was WINDY, making what otherwise would have been very pleasant temperatures into a very cold environment.  Anyway, we had 32 participants, 25 of which were for credit.  We received $11.75 in donations.  There's an article in the Port Huron Times Herald about the walk.

Do you want an order form for the May 2006 Volkssport Patch?  I forgot to leave the forms out for the walkers to take, so if you want one, let me know.

Anybody want to carpool to Potawatomi State Park on Saturday?  If not, how about we test walk the Stockbridge YRE?  Its an easy route, just out and back on abandoned railway,  but we'll need to find (or make) identifiable landmarks for the turn-around point.  We'll also need to figure out a start point (I have a cafe in mind for that).  Let me know what you'd like to do.

Our group walk on June 3rd in Ann Arbor is going to start at Pierpont Commons, 2101 Bonisteel Blvd. lower level. We'll stop downtown for lunch during the walk. Contact Eunice at  bottorff@wccnet.edu if you have any questions.

STOCK - We have t-shirts 5 L, 2 XL and 4 XXL, 8 book covers, 5 step counters, 9 New Walker Packets, 2 green event books, 2 salmon event books, 4 blue distance books, 2 orange distance books and 2 state / capitols books.

SUPPLIES - Our durable inventory now includes trail signs, 1 pair of walkie talkies, a metal cash box, a plastic card file box, 3 water coolers and 4 clipboards.  The non-durable items include insert cards, start cards, trail ribbon, trash bags, cups, napkins, tissues, pens, sticky notes, receipt book and water.  The list does not include the supplies in the YRE walk boxes.
